Great report Aiden. I like the Embraer 190 for the seats and the 2x2 configuration it feels more spacious.

Nice video, Aiden. I personally like the E190. It seems less packed in than planes like the 737, especially if you can sit up in F. Nice they served hot food on a short flight even though the dish was less than inspiring.

Qantas is now operating daily flights using an E190 between Brisbane and Wellington (New Zealand) in 9 business/88 economy seat configuration.

Not sure I'd fit in those seats as I am 194cm. A bigger plane would have been nice. Weather looked horrible, hope you were ok with the turbulence. Sunset 🌇 was awesome. Love your comment on the snack as "interesting" 😂 Dunny is way tiny 😮

Awesome Review Aidan - I flew the QantasLink / Alliance Airlines ( couldn’t really work it out who was actually flying the plane as it was QF livery but said it was operated by Alliance ) from Melbourne to Townsville back in January. It was a solid 3 hour flight up north but one I found very comfortable - much prefer being on one of these over the stock standard 737-800s in Qantas’s fleet. I thought I heard earlier in the year Darwin to Singapore flights were in the pipeline with this aircraft wonder if that’s still going to happen!

Sad to hear the comment about the QANTAS Club in Canberra. I have always found it to be one the best in Australia. The staff there are excellent. Beats Sydney and Melbourne hands down. Can’t wait for the A220 to begin service.

They use those for Bendigo to Sydney. Im glad I have a detailed idea of what the plane is like now. Its probably a good option since I'm a few kms from the airport and the Tullamarine drive/train/skybus/airport bus options are tiresome.

Great report buddy. Interestingly QF will be using these aircraft between Brisbane and Wellington NZ. 3 hours in small aircraft, not sure whether that would be that comfortable?

Great aircraft for long thin routes. It's a shame the E2 version has not sold well. Love traveling on Embraer. Will open a lot of new route opportunities for Qantas where typical narrow body A320 / B737 is too much capacity. Why do you think the E2 has sold so poorly?

qantas srsly needs to upgrade its cabins for the mid range and long haul flights i went on the perth to singapore flight with an a330 and the seats were decent just extremely worn out and the cabin felt old

Not sure why this is called Qantas' newest economy class. They are using tired ageing Embraer aircraft (possibly offloaded by Virgin Australia) and shows how little they care about the Adelaide market. This route should be serviced by a B737 or A320 at the minimum.
