Hi Shannon.
We have refunded your order because we agree with your balloons! Do not worry. The balloons are still on the way for you. Use the money to get some cake?”

Ok, to make it simple:

They said they refunded it because they not only AGREE with the balloons, but they gave the balloons and the money back in support of the Mom's Recovery. Hence getting free balloons and the money back for other things, like a celebratory cake.
