My worms love pineapple. Its cool the way it moves the fruit.

If there were a greater supply of moisture I wonder if those tougher items would broken down further (maybe not). Cool time-lapse - nice job! 👍🏻

Love the time lapse!! It almost looked they were carrying the pieces a way at the beginning!! I've added pineapple in my bin as well, and although it didn't appear to be their favorite they did consume it. Great video!!! Love your time lapse experiments!!🪱🪱🪱

Do you think the pineapple husk would have been eaten in the 55 days if it had been buried? I assume eventually but not sure if within that timeframe.

I had the same question a while back and I think I asked both you and @AV about it. I took the leap because I had so much pineapple from an event I did. The worms had no issues destroying it and much faster than I thought they would. Mine was buried with skins and all and I did provide a sprinkle of garden lime just to balance the acid a bit. They ate everything in less than two weeks. I thought I had the wrong been that’s how gone it was. Since then I don’t hesitate in the least.

Interesting, i though they couldnt eat neither tomatoes or pineaples due to them being highly acidic. Thank you :D (Could you try a lemon now? XD)

Love it when you debunk stuff like this! Bravo!

I was under the impression that worms would eat just about anything as long as there wasn't any other food available? (and you can keep the pH in balance).

I would be curious to know how much pineapple is eaten if you used the bin as 'normal' (i.e, throwing in random food scraps each day).
Would they ignore the pineapple and focus on the other food?
