Two EXTREME FALLACIES Within CALVINISM #CalvinisticFalseDoctrine #ReligiousPredestination #JesusOnly

Calvinism is a very dangerous sect of false Christianity. Not only is the man - John Calvin glorified as a great teacher but he represents what Calvinists see as the only true denomination of protestant Christianity that exists. It is also believed by them that rejectors of their cult are in the "Arminianism" belief system named after Jacobus Arminius. For them to be so pretentious as to believe they can place another man's name (Arminius) on non-believers in Calvinism, is absurd. Most who disagree with them, call their selves CHRISTIANS and feel that the exalting of Calvinism (even if not as highly as true Christianity itself), is a cult type practice. In Calvinism, teachings they exalt, such as "predestination" and "determinism", also includes their belief that God influences all evil to take place, regardless of its extreme vileness, which Jesus himself stated to be blasphemy by men who accuse God of this. These are the things I discuss in this video, including Bible scripture I read during the teaching. Thank You to those who will view this video!
(NOTE: Jacob Arminius' non-Latinized, real name in Dutch is Jakob Hermanszoon. This has the "e" in it that I was remembering in the video. Thankfully the supposed Arminian group is not called "Hermanszoonians".)

(Please pray for Israel and the Peace of Jerusalem.)

I've met a ton of Calvinists, and they don't like the term "Calvinist" any more than you like being called "Arminian"... They merely (often reluctantly) use it for the pragmatic purpose of clearly signaling their theological stance as simply and shortly as possible, and this has been the easiest way to do so.

I'm not a Calvinist, but I do think you would do well to fellowship and simply have friendly discussion with them more often brother. They are generally very genuine about seeking and loving and glorifying God, and most of the time they will fellowship with you as a non-Calvinist with open arms and with respect.

Matt. 22:29 “Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.”

Listen, brother... Calvinist here. I encourage you to look into this further. You're making strawman arguments.

1. Most Calvinists prefer the term "Reformed" because we don't want to idolize Calvin. We certainly don't act like Calvin was crucified for us. And yet, using the name of a person to qualify your theological position isn't necessarily wrong. It's not equating Calvin with Jesus. It's just saying that we have a lot of respect for the Christians that came before us, and agree with Calvin on a lot of topics. We certainly don't put Calvin before or on the same level as Christ.

2. About predestination, etc. You may believe our doctrines are dangerous, but please refute them first. We base our convictions on texts such as Ephesians 1 and Romans 9 (among others). We certainly don't believe that God is partly evil. He is totally good, but He clearly teaches throughout Scripture that He is totally in control of everything that happens - even the evil things that happen. But predestining evil doesn't have to mean that God is evil. This would be a non sequiter.

I encourage you to take a listen/read of robust defenses of calvinism from Scripture. Start with the Canons of Dordt. You will be surprised at the amount of Scripture references it contains. You could also listen to good proponents of the Reformed faith: RC Sproul, John MacArthur, Joel Beeke, Sinclair Furgosen - try looking them up. I strongly believe you will find that calvinism is quite different from what you believe.

Next time when you try to debunk us Reformed folk, please reference where we actually say what you claim we are saying. Strawman arguments aren't that helpful.

P.S. We usually don't deny that man's will is in some sense free. We don't outright deny free will. But our will isn't free from God's predestination.
