In 1994, I built a traditional building out of wood and used metal panels like you're installing for the walls and roof. I got a screaming deal on the metal because it wasn't all the same the same color. There was enough of one color to cover the front and one side most seen from the street. My late wife, our four teenage children, and some friends built it over the summer.

You're in a desert area, you take rain when you can get it. It's usually at the wrong time for your plans but.... water is important. If you an find one, they make a circular saw blade the fits a standard saw that cuts that style metal in one cut rathe than using tin snips or a nibbler. It's eway faster and a straight edge just like you would use cutting lumber keeps your cuts straight.

It's definitely hard to work on a schedule with sheet goods either wood or metal when the wind is blowing, so much of what you're doing out there is weather dependent but like you said there's always something to get done and you did it! Jess had such a lovely and thoughtful look on her face at the end of your video looking at you Jim, though she's often a woman of few words in your videos she seems so content and happy with how things are going out there building your future together. I know it's hard work but together you're getting it done, your enthusiasm to the heavy work and Jess's attention to the details will be worth the wait. Be well and see you next week ❤

This is an absolutely fascinating channel.
I love the wide open desolate spaces. The far distant mountains
are changingly beautiful. The drive and optimism that this couple show is amazing in face of challenges they have faced together. Living in a part of Canada with very severe cold in Winter and hot summers the dryness and fierce heat of their summers makes me wonder how they can even work in the daytime and on roofs!

It must feel really good to have that roof almost done. Hopefully soon you have a lot more dry space to keep that straw dry.
I'm guessing that will also be setup as part of your water harvesting system.
Great progress pretty soon you'll have a house and greenhouse.
