i love how Geralt mentions doing the cow exploit 1-2 times, but not 3, since after 3rd try you're attacked by an overleveled chort

Instead of punishing players for their exploits they came up with this, now that's a dev team who knew the bugs and shrugged it off and came up with a positive good on them.

i love how self-aware this easter egg is.

There is actually much more to the easter egg then meets the eye. The question about the rawhide is about an exploit players would use early in the game to get money and food easily by killing cows that would respawn and selling their hides. The same goes for the question about the pearls, where the player could buy pearls for a cheap price from one merchant, then dismantle them and sell them for a high price. Very cleverly done by the developers and with great humor. Bravo CD projekt red!

You hate taxes? Welcome to reality, Geralt. Thank God he didn't ask about the sword wholesale

Hahaha, that's great man! I've been looking for a version of this where Geralt admits to everything - glad you posted it!

I had this encounter the other day. I thought it was great! I use a mod for Gwent that allows me to make 1, 000 crowns bets. I just bullshitted the answers and got a piece of paper as an upstanding tax paying citizen. :)

Just imagine if the Wild Hunt, Gaunter and the Unseen Elder have to pay taxes as well

i love that he refers to the two money exploits, selling cow hides in white orchard, and buying shells to dismantle them for pearls and sell for a ridiculous price.

TFW you dont do any exploits and say you did a bunch of bad shit anyway just to see what would happen and then u gotta pay 1000 for doing nothing... fucking taxes

Fan fact, at first I thought it was some kind of "anti-cheating" move from CDPR, since he appeared after I got over coins from a glitch in White Orchard xD

Me go into people's houses and steal from them? I would never do that!
*Hides everything in my pockets*

And this is simply one of the many reasons why CDPR is loved

I doubt the devs knew about it but in the french mp3 serie Naheulbeuk, a tax collector comes asking for money to the band of adventurers in regard to their quests and contracts. They end up loosing almost all of the gold they looted.
: D

The fact this guy has a brummie accent somehow makes this better.

Okay. My ending was "Here, a certification, hang it somewhere noticeable" ... okay? Sold some pelts, never sold some pearls, and never stole something *cough*

Even the legendary White Wolf, the Butcher of Blaviken, protagonist of innumerable ballads by master Julian "Dandelion" Pankratz, can't escape the fucking IRS!

Anyone realise the taxman's name is a possible reference to Walter Mitty?
