2ND/VARS/invNorm; input the area, mean and standard deviation

When you find the area under a normal curve, you use the command normalcdf with the lower and upper cutoffs, mean, and standard deviation to find the area. What happens if the area is given and you have to find the corresponding z-value. In this case, use invNorm(area, mean, standard deviation). In standard normal distribution, the mean is equal to 0 and the standard deviation is equal to 0. Every z-value on the left side of zero (i.e. the mean) is negative, and every z-value on the right side of zero (i.e. the mean) is positive. After you obtain a z-value, double-check your one more time to make sure the negative or positive is correct.

Here is a little summary for normalcdf and invNorm
1. Given z-values to find area/probability, use normalcdf
2. Given area to find the corresponding z-value, use invNorm

How was the lesson? Did I clear your confusion? If so, would you mind giving me a subscribe and a like? This helps me to put more effort and time to make my channel to grow. My goal is to deliver a lesson from every topic in mathematics and statistics. Calculus, statistics, trigonometry, algebra, and etc. These videos are just a beginning.
