Definitely eyeing that new SE- love the starlight color over the rose gold in the previous version. Seems to me (from Apple's website) that the differences between the SE 2 and 8 are ECG and blood oxygen features, dust-proof-ness, display sizes if you want a bigger watch, and always-on display. Personally, I don't need the additional health monitoring so the SE 2 looks super attractive.

SE seems to be worth the money 💰 I just don't feel the same about the 8. It seems the price point is a little steep for what you get. I personally don't feel the 8 is that big of a step up from the SE. I personally can't justify the price difference for what you get, at least for me. I did opt for the 14 pro max, though.

I like the SE but the only disadvantage that it has is no AOD and ECG
I wonder if the premium to get the S8 is worth it.

I currently have the gen1 Apple Watch SE and I’ll keep it until it stops getting supported. My wife has the Series 3 Apple Watch so I’ll buy her the new Apple Watch SE:.

Why is this Apple Watch Ultra Scuba Diving App only available as a subscription type arrangement?…The only reason I want to buy this $800 upgrade to my existing apple watch is for this dive computer capability I only scuba dive while on vacation approx 2-3 dives per year It would be a waste of money to pay 12 months of a subscription for only 2-3 dives…I might as well buy a proper dive computer for $300-400 and own it outright, with all the dive logging capabilities included, and no subscriptions required. I won’t buy this apple ultra watch.

The fact that they want to give you a mere $150 for trading in your Series 7 to upgrade should tell you the real cost of the Watch. You’d be a fool to upgrade a functional device during what is only the beginning of an economic crash. If you needed a dose of reality here’s your sign. Pay your bills first, don’t be stupid.

Always on feature was why I bought Series 5. Still haven’t found a need to upgrade.
