I've always been curious about how these things work! I just bought one at the store so I decided to do research. Thank you for the research! Great images and videos of choice!

So I made the mistake of going to a pub to meet up with my friends for the end of a hockey game and having a pint. I was snowplowing that time of year and woke up at 7pm, met my friends for 8:30pm, had a pint and left at 9pm. As I was leaving the parking lot, instant sirens and lights. I live in Ontario Canada where they have a “festive Ride program” (the police set up checkpoints to check for impaired driver or they patrol for them”. I ended up blowing 0.081. No joke. Legal limit is 0.080. I was about to pull into McDonald’s and get some breakfast and go to work in an hour for my shift. I was 25, 5’10” and about 140. No excuse I know better now. Draught beer hits hard and, the most you really can have is 1 drink and wait for a bit before driving. I get people are different but I’ve tested it out now because I’m afraid of even waking up the next day and blowing over.

My lawyer brought up a good point tho….. If we as a society truly cared that much they would make it mandatory for breathalyzers or even for beginner drivers. But at the end of the day everyone wants to have a drink with dinner. Or pre breakfast in my case.

Lyfts and Ubers are not reliable apps. Tech issues and card declines happens. Problem is a person is not allowed to sit in the passenger side, keys in the console, not the ignition, lock their doors and sleep it off- that can get a person charged with a dui which is wrong. And do your research on what actually causes the highest numbers of automobile deaths and injuries- it’s a combination of speeders (non-alcohol) and distracted drivers (texting, talking on the phone daydreaming, sleep deprived people who think their honorable as such hard working people, etc), people who are elderly and on medications for their ailments, car malfunctions such as blown tires and worn auto parts, some defective by manufacturers, matched with near - BIG ONE- 60% of people who do not wear seat belts during these unfortunate tragic accidents who die in accidents NOT involving
alcohol. A .08 will be in a petite woman with just two Bud Lights (4.2% abv) in the course of an hour. That’s not a lot. Alcohol science also places different people at different tolerance/functioning levels- A man at a .28 bac May drive flawlessly and safer than a .00 bac individual whose eating, talking on the phone, and other distractions with LESS than 20/20 vision on top of it.People need to learn the truth and facts of the science of alcohol as opposed to legislation and supporting NON-educational commercials that are founded on collecting an exorbitant, gauging, greed collection for government, states and judicial systems…not to keep you safe as they pose their disguise behind. It’s tragic when anyone is seriously hurt, paralyzed, and dies in car accidents. So teach people about SAFE driving period, and educate people on seatbelt wearing, it’s not a joke, also in the US which counts for half
the worlds annual alcohol sales teach young people and even older how alcohol in the body, metabolically, tolerance development, what truly cause impairment etc is about. Stop selling alcohol at GAS STATIONS, and offering FREE SAMPLES AT GAS STATIONS. Lol not funny. Why are personal breathylzers in alcohol loving America not as available as alcohol? (But the US loves alcohols sales revenue don’t they?). And if alcohol IMPAIRS, meaning IMPAIRING JUDGEMENT, how is the driver who did not realize there bac nor impaired cognition be the idiot after consuming a legal, heavily available, heavily PUSHED, culturally supported and accepted substance in a country that offers little education, TOOLS, and resources to be “safe”?
