The Extended Play Sessions with Jo Henley

Show 4 of the 8th Season of The Extended Play Sessions features Boston alt-jam band Jo Henley. Jo Henley routinely goes through paradigm shifts in both style and ambition and the music from their upcoming album, due in September, is their most ambitious to date. A melodic blend of jam, country, folk, west coast rock floats through these well crafted songs about the existential human condition. The band featured a couple gust performers with producer/engineer Rob Loyot on percussion and saxophone and a guest duet with songstress Hayley Sabella. Guitarist Ben Lee shows his range and chops with an onslaught of powerful solos matched against keyboard master Amer Saab. Tighter than tight rhythms from drummer Ari Rajman and bass player Kent Stephens flow around Andy Campolieto's acoustic guitar and melodic vocals. Jo Henley might be one of the most underrated bands to rise out of New England in recent memory.
