We love Essentials in Writing! We have used for a few years now, but also found that we enjoy BJU Literature more than EIL! Great video!

I'm so glad you shared about MFW. We are also doing creation to the Greeks and I'm struggling!

Great update! Always nice to have the freedom to change our curriculum when it’s not working. I would love to see a flip through of Mystery of History 😊 Happy Friday! Have a blessed weekend.

We are starting LLATL Purple Book in a few weeks! I have the opposite needs as what you needed so I think it will be a good fit! We shall see. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I love that about curriculum, every one likes things for different reasons. 😊❤

We are also loving the Mystery of History Volume 1! We do not do many activities either, mainly just the reading and they make a list timeline as well. We also switched to Evan Moor spelling this year and it has been going so great! Thanks for the mid-year update!!

I would REALLY like to know more about Mystery of History! I would like to see inside and also what a days work looks like. 😊

We love Bearean Builders! My 5th grader is in the scientific revolution book. I’m a firm believer in science being about nature and natural history in the elementary and middle school years. I love the history perspective of BB. And the fact that the activities are more demonstrations than actual experiments. My son loves it and begged to continue on next year. ❤

We used Evan Moor spelling and really liked it too! I hope it works for you. I never got the teacher guide either.😊

We switched from CLE math to CTC math, but asked for my money back after 3 weeks. I really wanted it to work, but it wasn’t as thorough as I wanted it to be. We moved back to CLE. The spiral lessons and real world word problems are a better fit for us.

We are using Essentials in 6th, 7th, and 10th. It’s going well.

I love love love MFW, but for 4th I was feeling apprehension. I keep peeking at BJU...just life things going on. We ended up using HEart of Dakota! I love it but am still finding myself looking at BJU. Thoughts on BJU online? Haven't loved the idea of my kids being on the computer for hours. But sometimes I need some help

What’s the difference between CTC math and Saxon? My kids do Saxon and I’m finding it’s taking them way too long each day!since you were a math teacher I trust your opinion on your thoughts!

I am curious as you were a former math teacher when you feel it’s appropriate to start using calculators with math. I am wondering as I am an adult if I need to know 369x277= I pull out my calculator but if learning the long way helps with later math comprehension I will continue to have my kids work on it. Does this make sense?

I was here for the science update...haha! I plan on using the Industrial Age to go along with our history curriculum for my 7th grader and than use the Atomic Age for 8th grade. But do you think that the Atomic Age covers a general science or is it more physical science.

What does your shirt say? Your hair is covering part of it and the bottom is cut off out of frame. "In principio erat Also, where did you get it?

My son will be in 8th grade too next year. Are you skipping 8th grade and starting 9th grade. I heard that is the secret to fitting in dual enrollment .
