Givin' up expectations, never givin' up hope.
Favourite trailer: so this one's a damn interesting story. More than a year ago, just a month or two after I discovered Collider, I saw a topic on Movie Talk that really really peaked my interest. There, you guys talked about an upcoming movie possibly going in to production called Why We're Killing Gunther. The cast and plot really freakin' captured my imagination and I began to hotly anticipate that movie. But as time went by I haven't heard or found on the internet a single thing about the movie and assumed the project is probably dead/in deveopment hell. But than, after over a year of craving that movie and thinking I'll probably never get it, a heavenly light shined on me in the form of a trailer for the movie now retitled Killing Gunther. The trailer was not what I expected at all from a movie like that, but was still SO AWESOME! I'm so glad that I can finally know this movie is coming! The only downside is that it's only on limited release in America, meaning it'll probably get no theatrical release in my country (though you never know), and since I'm not one to pay money for non-theatrical film viewing experiences (because I'm not financially independent), I'm pretty much at the mercy of my cable company as to whether or not I can watch this movie on VOD/one of the movie channels for free (so it's possible my October/November favorites will include my first ever favourite DVD release 😉). It's a shame it's not gonna be a wide release because this is most certainly a movie that could get me and my dad out our houses and into a theater. No matter if and how I'll be able to watch Killing Gunther, the hype is still SO REAL.
Favourite app: still going on with Contest of Champions full force!
Favourite Youtube video: I haven't seen the film The Glass Castle, nor do I really intend to at all. But Sean Chandler's review of the movie really got me. This is the most serious Favourite Youtube video pick of mine, as Sean goes over the portrayal of child abuse and challenged parents in the film, and how it coincides with his own childhood and adult expriences. In the midst of the mixed reviews the movie got, it was fascinating to see a person who went through somewhat similar stuff go over why this movie portrays the behaviors and feelings in these situation masterfully.
(And now to lighten up the mood with what you probably expect to hear, yes, there was a PieGuyRulz Spongebob video this month, it's the Top 10 Worst Titles in Seasons 1-9. It was a fun kind of admittedly nitpicky video, with many of the usual suspects included as well as a pretty surprising num. 1, that also makes sense the more I think about it. Would probably get the top spot if it wasn't for the Sean Chandler video. Check out his channel BTW, it's called Sean Chandler Talk About, he has some really fun movie reviews, ranking lists and podcasts. I only discovered him a couple months ago but he quickly skyrocketed to a spot within my favourite reviewers on Youtube.)
Favourite TV event: as you see, I took the liberty to slighly change the title, and it's for the exact reason you expect: football season is BACK! ⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽ so this August we got the European Supercup match between the UCL winner Real Madrid and the UEL winner Manchester United. As expected, it was a match to remember, as Real Madrid won 2-1 and dominated through most of the match.
Favorite outing: so this month my beloved smartphone of almost 3 years blacked out and I went with my dad to a phone lab, where I decided to give up the complicated fixing process and get a new phone. Most of the important stuff, like my WhatsApp chats and Contest of Champions gameplay progress have been saved but the pictures and videos on my gallery all went away. I know it's not that exciting of an outing but I didn't really have any interesting ones this month and that was pretty much all I could think of.
Favourite movie: so as can be understood from my favorite outing segment, I didn't go to the movies this month, and I didn't even see THAT many movies at home (I think it was about 5 of them all month), but of the ones I saw, one definitely stood out as just absolutely phenomenal: Kubo and the Two Strings. I thoght nothing could be able to take down Zootopia as my favourite 2016 movie, but by a slight margin, Kubo takes that cake. Holy shit is this movie just AMAZING.

Happy Birthday Wendy! The entrance you were looking at is the south entrance to Galaxy's Edge which comes out to the X-Wing fighter. The other side cuts into the gate leading to the town.

Haha I've never understood the whole "pin collector" thing. There's a ton of fans for that kind of thing though apparently lol kudos to them. Have you guys dined at the Blue Bayou? Sitting by the water was amazing. Pricey but well worth it imo. 😎👌
