Damn she is making me cry because that's how my parents and grandparents raised me. Taught me to understand Cambodian history, food, culture and the genocide. I love this and I want to go to Nyum Bai & chat with Chef Nite.
Thank you for sharing this.

This is what I admire about the USA. I'm not American, but I've always felt that the US is like a library of the world. People from all over the world arrive and share their knowledge and skills with their new Homeland. It allows America to experience many pleasures and flavors from different parts of the world.

Fellow Cambodian from San Diego CA, really good at representing Khmer culture. The tragedy with the genocide will not hold Cambodian people down. We as KHMER will prosper and on the way to getting the recognition we deserve. Thanks for the video. We need a Part 2.

Cambodian 'breakfast' soup is easily one of my top 2 noodle soups in the world. I traveled there for like a month and I wanted to have that soup 24/7. It's just perfection. My mouth waters just thinking about it!! Lovely country, delicious food and one of the most tragic periods in history, and yet one of the nicest, warmest people you'll ever meet. Very beautiful work this chef is doing and all the thought and soul she's putting into it!

I know so much about the cuisines of Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines and Malaysia but have almost zero knowledge of Cambodian food and popular dishes. This was a great episode. 👍👍

I left Cambodia when I was 1 (as a refugee) and I only returned recently. Even though I didn't speak much khmer, they all treated me so warmly. I think all khmer people need to visit. It's very hard to put into words my experience while I was there, but I immediately felt like I was "home" when I arrived at my father's village.

Nyum Bai is great, creative, smart idea to come up with that name, most khmer restaurant is name Apsara, Bayon, Angkor Wat, so Nyum Bai is very unique name.I wish your restaurant become very successful.

She needs her own show. I can listen to her all day. And she uses my dad's recipe.

*I live in Canada, and I think I've only ever seen like 3 Cambodian restaurants in my whole life!* There needs to be more, and Vietnamese people really need to experience their neighbours' cuisine!
