Similar situation was young and pregnant with twins I placed them both together in a loving Christian home. So many family and friends told me to get an abortion and when I did give birth and went through with open adoption I was called a monster and a terrible person but I knew I did the right thing and I know they’re safe and loved beyond measure more than what I could give them. It hurts but I hope they know just how much I love them

I’m glad this was explained the way you explained it. Because so many times we often forget that there are other options. The concern is that you don’t want to take the other options because it isn’t fair. And I’d like to take it a step further:

This is how dangerous sin is because it comes in packs. Trace it back to the rape. That rape was a sin, those thoughts in that person’s mind to rape someone were sins, that lust for pedophilia is a sin. If that person found Jesus and got that situation resolved via the cross, maybe that young girl wouldn’t have gotten raped to even consider having an abortion. The problem isn’t just the rape. The problem is that some sins are more justified than others because humanity has a skewed idea of good and evil. No matter who you are, because you are born human you’ll have a skewed perception.

For example: The abortion is fine so long as the girl was raped, but then we have an issue with the abortion when a woman is on her 4th or 5th abortion because she’s recklessly fornicating. Killing is fine when the other person killed someone close to you or if they’re a bad person, but not when it’s senseless like Hitler. Stealing is cool if the person is poor, but not if the person has money. Lying is cool if you’re doing it to protect someone, but psychos don’t get a pass. Having sex before marriage is a must because you gotta know the ins and outs of the bedroom before you slap a ring on it, but then are pressed when your partner has 15+ bodies on their head. Do you see how none of that makes sense? Sin is wrong period; no justification. And that’s very uncomfortable for a lot of people because God sees all sin the same. You want to steal $5 from your job? Your sin gets treated the exact same as Hitler killing those 6 million Jews. Why? Because God doesn’t measure sin. In his perfection and holiness, anything that isn’t is sin. This is exactly why we need Jesus. We have someone whose blood can cover us from God’s wrath.

I love how she’s willing to talk it through and discuss it instead of angrily refusing to hear him out like a lot of people do. It allows for more thoughtful discussions where minds are more likely to be changed.
