When Michael Landon started his tenure on Little House on the Prairie, his marriage to his second wife began falling apart. Michael’s second wife was a woman by the name of Lynn Noe, and the two had met years before when performing together on the series Bonanza. When Michael met and became romantically involved with Lynn, he was still married to his first wife. Similarly, Michael became romantically involved with his third wife while he and Lynn were still married.

Michael’s third wife ended up being a woman by the name of Cindy Clerico, whom he met while she was working as a stand-in on Little House on the Prairie. When Lynn found out about the affair, she and Michael divorced. Michael and Cindy got married and stayed together until Michael's 1991 death. Although the incident hurt the actor's reputation, he claimed it was the best outcome for all parties involved, including his many children with his second wife. Sometimes it seems to me Michael Landon was trying very hard to convince HIMSELF he was a faithful devoted loving husband and father . He played that part with complete sincerity in his personal life for a good while . However something would switch after a given period of time . Had Michael Landon lived longer the third wife and kids would have been cast aside too. I'm convinced of that, because I don't think Michael Landon truly loved any of his wives .
In an interview with Barbara Walters in the late 70's he said, "does anybody really love anybody anyway ". He almost immediately tries to correct himself, probably regretting the statement, but his retraction was unconvincing . I think Michael was playing at many roles on and off the screen and his performances were in fact sincere . This was one very very complex man and one full of his own personal demons, but his a man who tried his best . Rest in peace Michael Landon .

Landon had so much going for him when he contacted the cancer that killed him. I always felt bad for him in this regard. As far as his romantic life…who knows what goes on between a couple?

Michael Landon traded in his wives as he got older, He dumped his older first wife, who had stuck by him when he was struggling, and dumped the second Mrs. Landon for a younger model. Had he lived longer, he probably would have dumped #3 for an even younger Mrs.

He's not a perfect man. He made mistakes but overall Micheal was a good person and his work on tv, movies and etc is incredible.

I have always loved Michael Landon and I feel very sad that he's no longer here. In my opinion anyone who writes wonderful scripts like he did has a good heart. He was kind, caring, funny, handsome and talented. We all make mistakes in life and it's not for us to judge anyone else.

He was human, not perfect, and everyone makes mistakes. It does not affect the wholesome and upright characters that he portrayed and America admired. It doesn’t make him hypocritical or dishonest to create good characters. He was brave to try to uplift us by creating moral choices for his characters.
