How to change watch battery dell inspiron 1525 HTWL

The watch battery is what helps store information for the bios.
This is how to change it out.

Rather than prizing up the inside edge of the cover, I found it easier to prize up the front...the plastic section with the jack plugs pops out and there’s plenty access to get to the battery.. Would never have found it without the video though, THANKS!

Very useful video!
Replaced the battery very quickly!
I improved this method: to the hook, which was ejected by the battery, a large magnet and batteries were dangled after it came out of the nest hanging itself to the hook, and sweat was easy to pull it out!
Similarly, a new battery was inserted into place by removing the magnet.

Took about a half hour and some well-chosen swear words, but I got it replaced! Somebody at Dell did not want us ordinary folk to go anywhere near that battery. 😄

thanks for the video. there are other videos on youtube that require you to take apart the laptop entirely to get to the cmos battery. Your video saved me hours of work and took less than 10 minutes. I didn't have a right angle pick so I used a paper clip and bent the tip 90 degrees and it worked like a charm. I hope that replacing my cmos battery will correct the flashing caps and scroll locks LEDs.

Great tip thanks for that. I've replaced CMOS battery few months ago it's took me about 45 min. I've strip my laptop last time.
Today I've watched your post and replaced battery in 5 min (without 90° spike)

Замінив батарейку дуже швидко!
Цей метод я вдосконалив: до гачка яким виймав батарейку приліпив сильний магніт і батарейках після того як вийшла із гнізда сама прилипла до гачка, і поті її було зручно витягти!
Так само і нову батарейку вставив на місце знявши магніт.
