READ 👏SIX 👏OF👏 CROWS👏 It has the same brilliant world & scene dressing, a larger, more developed, and a much more diverse cast of characters, and no love triangles at all, let alone annoying/problematic love triangles. Definetly Leigh’s better series in my opinion. Also the audiobook is FANTASTIC!

The only reason that I wanted to read this was because it’s becoming a Netflix show. I heard a lot of people say that they didn’t like it so I don’t know if I will start. I did like six of crows tho😌

I felt the same way about Shadow and Bone. I didn't really care for the series, it was probably a C for me. The romance wasn't doing it for me and the middle of the books really lagged. But I highly recommend Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom, they are some of my all time favorites. The romance is very different, and the characters are better developed.

B- is too freaking high! I mean no shade it’s your opinion but for any future readers of this book - guys be ready for a boring af protagonist and very unlikable characters apart from like two people and a dumb love triangle that makes 0 freaking sense. Like really? She was so infatuated with Mal and just a couple of months after she was over him the Darkling love story unfolds? And then the Darkling was evil and Mal was great all along? C- for me...

I liked the Darkling too. 😢 In the book, his cover story, that he's trying to undo the abomination his ancestor created, would be so much better if it was real. He's someone to be feared and suspicious of, being the Shadow Summoner and all, but if he's a Darkling who's good? His character would be more fascinating and amazing and we're gonna love him.
