“Skilled, Abled Foreign Minister...” Shashi Tharoor again sing praises for EAM S Jaishankar

In April this year, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor urged EAM Jaishankar to “cool down”. Responding to Tharoor’s advice, External Affairs Minister said, “didn’t your blood boil”. Jaishankar was referring to attempts of Khalistani radicals to pull down national flag from Indian HC in UK. Months after the war of words, Tharoor has clarified that his advice was for Jaishankar’s statement on West and not on UK incident. Congress leader affirmed that the flag incident was a provocation and India responded in fitting manner. Thiruvananthapuram MP also said that he has no difference of opinion with the EAM over the Khalistani issue. Shashi Tharoor had urged EAM Jaishankar to cool down over his stern response to Western. Congress MP had further said that the Centre should not be so “thin-skinned”. His remarks came a day after Jaishankar slammed Germany, US over their interference in Rahul Gandhi’s case. However, acknowledging EAM Jaishankar’s skills, Tharoor has called him “able and skilled Foreign Minister” in the recent tweet.
