Thanks for this review. I'm happy you were able to venture out to see this film both mentally and logistically. Maybe this is the film where I appreciate Chalamet as an actor; previously his gave me William Hurt, inflated ego vibes.

Hope it get's best film. As you say it's the world Mangold made that wins really. All performances are great, but the love in making this thing is clear. Still buzzing from seeing it.

It’s a great movie that didn’t get enough love from the critics and I don’t think it’ll do well at the awards either. Not a box office hit either but it deserves more. Ed Norton shines and Chalamat is great as Dylan but the Fanning and Monica Barbaro lift this biopic up to a higher limit. Watch out for an unidentifiable Boyd Holbrook as a wild Johnny Cash.
