This video brings back my childhood memories. I was nearly 10 when the family moved but watching this some 60 years on is a real joy. I've been back many times over the years but this film reallt makes me think of 'Bennions'', 'Cushings', Barnes' chemist, the Boiling Kettle and so many more.

Miss those wednesday market days and walks by the canal 65 years ago surprisingly lots of things look just the same today

I used to come to visit relatives here many many years ago. Have been back recently. A lot has changed but I see Smith's is still there. Such a pretty place still. Nice to see lots of old shop fronts. My parents were married in St Mary's in 1945 and we stayed in my Aunts house in Churc Street, many times. Lots of lovely memories with my country cousins and other family.
