Views =/= Quality

Veteran of content creation Ryoma is back with more words of wisdom! This time, the age old pitfall/trap of "a video's quality is proven by its views." Unfortunately, that is not necessarily the case. As with all social media platforms, there's an algorithm that pushes videos to viewers and this algorithm is not perfect. More often than not, consistency and volume are more important than actual quality of the video. Not to say quality is not important, but if content creators are in a hole of "I can't publish this video because my previous videos are trash as indicated by the views", then they should definitely change their outlook. Because views are fickle. And in the wise words of Ryoma, "They are A measure, but they are not always THE measure."

Denauth, the latest mixed wave, consists of Ryoma, Klara, and Twisty - a samurai ronin, a maid, and a young lady of prestige, who are trying to convince people that their mansion is NOT haunted.

One of my most viewed videos is an earrape meme. Later I again tried something similar and it didn't even get shown in the shorts feed. Every time I think I understand the algorithm it does something weird and I just end up more confused. 🤷‍♂️

The algorithm isn't perfect, definitely, but over the years I've tuned into VTubers, I've come to know that the "Don't recommend this channel" feature definitely works alongside how I refrain from watching and erase viewing history of videos I don't think are worth even a little attention while I'm logged in. It's more than a one-way street, in other words, and creators also have to have faith in the fans they want to have and the platform they are on.
