What about the moisture? And the sleep? And the excersice? That is beauty taking care of yourself. You know what you look like w/out any of that on. For example me, I have under eye circles. They are big and dark (usually). I was born like that. I do cover them (SOMETIMES)... I used to be so insecure that I wouldn't go anywhere w/out it. I realized it is ok to wear makeup as long as it doesn't become your Idol and replaces your relationship with Yahweh... An idol basically anything you love more than Yahweh (and believe me people can/have idolized anything). Make sure what you are doing is FOR YOU, not to make other people comfortable/happy. If other people can't deal with YOUR imperfections, that is THEIR problem. Everyone has imperfections. I stopped wearing, ALL make-up for a whole year. And was planning on NEVER wearing make-up. (Because natural is better) but I changed my mind.
