Basics of Programming - 01 - Common Data Types

If you've never gone near any type of programming before it may seem a bit intimidating. But in this new series we're introducing you to coding basics that'll give you a basis for understanding.

In this episode we look at the most common data types. Whether it's building websites, programming for devices, After Effects expressions etc, data types are the way we differentiate between text and numbers, true or false from lists; and save those values appropriately.

In this series the basis of our examples are off two different programming languages, PHP and Javascript, but the principles can often apply to any other programming language.
