NIL and the transfer portal have already ruined college football.

Clay, I enjoy listening to u talk about your boys at their age. I have 6 boys now grown, married with 13 grandsons. With my oldest grandsons being 16, 15 and 14. And they watch you on this channel! These days I feel exhausted after spending my 20’s and 30’s breaking up 6 boys wrestling and all the girlfriends and then marriages. Now, I play video games with my grandsons where they tell all their friends across the world - not to kill me in the game because I’m their grandpa. :). At this point, I think I’ve done my part in raising 6 plus 13 conservative - ish boys by todays standards. I look forward to listening to you Clay continue to talk about your sons growing up. There’s no other bigger blessing in life than watching your sons grow and guiding them along the way. And then, just when u think you’re done with diaper changing - your boys - have more boys. And suddenly - you are again teaching them. Be well Clay.

The UNLV NIL dispute is just a contract law dispute. They parties didn't put their agreement on paper, now it's impossible to enforce because nobody knows exactly which side of the party made what promises

NIL was always going to be an issue because it’s not regulated properly. It’s also not at all what the o’bannon’s had in mind when they originally wanted compensation. The schools shouldn’t have anything to do with NIL let the kids broker their own deals to profit off NIL outside of the school.

Lesson learned. Don’t commit to a program unless you’re NIL deal is in writing a binding contract.

That’s a beautiful story. I remember going on the road to away Tigers games and Red wings games with my dad when I was a kid. Some of my best memories was weekend away with dad and following the team on the road. Catching a night game on Saturday, staying in a hotel and watching the day game on Sunday. So much fun

Did anyone who actually liked college football want the NIL or this other nonsense?

I'm glad to see you, Clay. I thought you were on the road through Wednesday so I wasn't expecting a Wednesday show.

NIL has ruined college football. It needs to be regulated ASAP

Treasure these moments with your kids! My youngest is 20. I love him just the same but I can’t lie- I miss when he was 14 and we played video games and baseball together every day.

Last season was the greatest in my dad life. Took my (33) son to Army/Navy and the Rose Bowl with (26) daughter. Memories that I’ll have forever. CFB needs to get their shit together.

Hearing the story about you and your son warms my heart. Can’t wait to have some children of my own and create sports memories together. One time, me and my brother in middle school during the summer., three in the morning, TV, volume all the way down. Watching SportsCenter and it was Andy pettit who hit a HR in dead silence and my brother says “Andy Pettit went deep!” I’ll never forget it for the rest of my life.

Absolutely brilliant.

The Horschel-Fulch rivalry was pure excellence.

I am sure no one will care but the promotion of gambling is really getting old! I am quite sure the gambling lobby is paying you very well to promote this vile habit!

This is like sitting across from an alcoholic and talking about having a drink!

Gambling is quite fun for millionaires but there are thousands of people that lose everything!

You can’t just simply say “well I can afford it” or “it’s just for fun” or “if you have problem with it, don’t listen”!

There will be no good out come from promoting gambling! You simply don’t drink in front of alcoholics!

We all know is getting rich and who is being hurt!

😣🤨😩😡

Clay! Y’all had Whattaburger there too! I delivered a lot of the furniture to that hotel when they first opened. I used to live 5 minutes from there😊

Man what a cool story about you and your boy. Hopefully your prediction is right and we can pull out the win for the young man this time.

Roll Tide.

I'd like to throw this out there for discussion.

1. NIL money should be prorated on a per game basis over the regular season, like a paycheck.
They still get their money if they get hurt, whether it's a season or career ending injury.
2. As an incentive to play in any post season games, they should be eligible for bonus money.
If they don't play, they aren't eligible for any bonus money.
3. IF they sign an NIL deal, it is ONLY good if you stay with that team.
If they transfer, they forfeit the money for however many games are left, and they aren't eligible for any NIL money for the amount of games that were remaining in the season.
Only after that amount of games can they make a new NIL deal, based on the restrictions I listed in #1 above.
3. If they get an NIL deal, they have to sign a legally binding contract agreeing to all of these terms.
4. If they transfer again, they have to sit out 1 season, and are not eligible for a new deal until their next season.

IMO, these are some common sense rules that will help stop the madness currently going on, but I doubt that they will be considered, or implemented.
The bottom line is, SOMETHING has to be done to stop the "grab the cash and run" mentality now happening.

Huge UNLV fan and this just sucks for us. This team is 12 to 1 to make the playoffs currently. Thats done. All fans lose a chance for a great cinderella story
