Testing the new charger in a real world environment and scenario. Home with 14 miles on the GOM (10%), if I wanted to pop back out again a long trip how long would I have to wait I ask myself!

*Yes there is a typo, but you are looking at the description at least :)

Sorry Ian for the late reply in regards to the new charger and should be in conduit, not being in the trade But knowing something was off with the install conversing with a electrician friend he states that it has to conform to tuff cable standard So a core within a double layered cover and hard jacket, and another one starting with tac(sorry can’t remember the rest) cable. Given the distance it should be in 15mm plastic/metal conduit (with earth) tubes. Some Installers skip because it’s a bugger getting the 10mm in the tube also being external there should be some sort of lightning surge protector to your main switchboard. If left outside 4-8 years dependent of conditions and strong sunlight it will age and the outer layer become brittle

That’s quite good. Until I get it, I won’t know how fast to get how many miles, but its a 7kW home charger I believe.

Doing some quick math it is charging at a similar speed to my non quick charge Zoe. I get about 17.5% per hour, in theory yours should be slower on a 7kw charger so maybe Renault are saying that to sell the Renault motor. My range is showing 131 miles at 80% but my mix of driving is probably more conducive to higher range.

I just noticed that the Zoe uses the same seat material for its insert as the leaf 2.0

Have you seen the new Instavolt chargers located at Bannatyne health clubs all over uk.
They only have 2 charge cables, one Chademo and one CCSe, does that mean you can't charge a Zoe at them, they are excellent because you use credit/debit swipe card to activate, great idea, however they cost 35p per kWh, expensive, they are all on introductory offer at the moment with free vend, have been since xmas

I bet at full speed, the battery would drain just as quick. lol
Bjorn Nyland did a test of the Tesla model s at 125mph and that battery drained in 38 mins !

If the phone was plugged in to the car 12v lighter socket, I think it gets switched off when the car shuts down, so it wouldn't be charging anything...
