Honestly, Abyssal Woods is my least favorite area of the DLC. Not because of these guys but because there is like nothing there. The concept is cool, but it was only scary for about 3 minutes, and then I realized that there was nothing there worth being scared of. But at least the legacy dungeon at the end and the area boss made up for it.

If you have a throwing weapon you can lure them to wherever you throw it. I used Messmer’s spear to send them running the other way and quickly zipped by

I absolutely LOVE how they utilized the mechanics they had (breaking expectations with ridiculous speed, using massive frenzy to basically instagib) to basically create a stealth horror section with unbeatable enemies...and then they gave you a hint that if you just really focused and snapped back instantly, you can absolutely defeat even these insane horrors.

If you're fast, you can quit to main menu while being grabbed, which causes you to survive.

They drop their head as a mask if im not mistaken. oh boy farm time.

So I tried parrying them, took me several attempts, but I did get a talisman drop from one of them. Aged ones exultation-madness in vicinity raises attack power.
Have no clue if they drop a mask, but I'd really love a mask or there weapon whatever they are using, I want the whole fit if it's even a thing.
