Valid advice for any map. Don't move out in the open, don't put yourself too far from cover, don't silhouette yourself against the sky, etc. etc.

Shoreline is boring because I at most see 2 pmcs on the whole map after 30 minutes in raid despite looking over half the major POIs in the map and common travel spots and hear zero gunshots the entire raid. Then when I go to resort to do any quests or anything it’s either just completely dead empty or i get killed by somebody that SJ6’d inside from the start and sprays me from a window or get shot from one of the gorillion pitch black places in the building

shoreline sucks because there are only 3-4 ways to cross the middle of the map, all of them are in the open and can be easily camped

To be fair shoreline also has 2-3 hackers per game lol going to the resort or village early is a death sentance

After 2k hours playing this game, the best advice for playing shoreline is don't go to shoreline.

Great way of explaining it my man. Just had a convo about this with map traffic and understanding how people move around the map usually so you get used to the most common routes for interactions and which ones are more less passed through

why I suck at this map? well, every time i going to resort early. i alway get head, eye by heckers. so I always camping until 10 min left. to do my quest.

Shoreline was always easy cuz me and my buddies were devout Arma players haha. Last time I went to Shoreline, I got a squad wipe with a R700 🤣

Even the area you presented as an example is mostly empty and it will take you at least 3 seconds to reach any kind of cover which might be how long you have to live once you get shot. All the areas you marked as green are still areas with no cover as you move through and although you can reach cover within a few seconds if you wish, that still means the person has to miss their first shot which is never a good gamble. Shoreline just plain sucks, its a giant open field with some bushes and hills with Dorms placed in the center

It's so weird that people are just unaware of landscape cover. I am always moving so that I'm in as much cover as possible at all times on every map.

STICK TO A PATH WITH TREES AND BUSHES EVEN IF YOUR DESTINATION IS 2 MINS SPRINT cuz people gonna be on weather station or the high ground antennas camping those places and theres nothing more annoying than a dude running between trees and bushes, if you dont have the spawn near highgrounds think always someone got it and stick to the trees and as I said "do not force your spawn, play accord it".

Or just move a bit to the right and run fast from tree to tree in the direction you need to move at.
This is how it's done IRL when you have limited concealment and cover - short quick moves from cover to cover with stops to figure out if situation has changed and if you can proceed to run to the next cover.

Another a good rule of thumb is alaways use the terrain to your adavantage and put as much obsticle/terrain around you making it harder for you to get spotted by snipers specially, if they are at a high ground. Another thing is if you are going to crossed an open field like woods, streets of tarkov, shoreline, etc, is to think like a sniper, If I were a sniper where would be the best spots to snipe some one from afar, things like that. Another thing is learning spawns and also the best loot spawns that will help you predict and avoid areas where you are most likely to be killed or get a kill.

Shoreline used to be the fucking goat for loot it is a solid map to run if you want to have a chill run, you can hit up staches and exterior houses and get out without running into people
