We caught up with Holmsey in his bivvy and pinned him down on his bait of choice.

Many assume Mark must be using something special but you couldn’t be further from the truth. It’s straight off the shelves at Nutrabaits HQ, the same bait we all use and which is despatched daily to stockists worldwide.
The only difference being Mark’s love of the stinky stuff and that being Garlic essential oil. How does Mark incorporate this into the bait plan ? Quite simple, 3 to 5 drops of essential oil into a 500ml bottle of Trigga Ice liquid activator, shake well and leave to steep over a few days. Mark leaves several bottles steeping between sessions then it’s simply coat your free offerings before getting them out on the spots.
If you’re fishing on a clear bottom then 3 drops is perfect per bottle, if you are fishing in silt and weed then up it to 5 drops.

Looking at Mark’s results week in week out it’s clear to see the Ice is doing the business with another year of big carp from several waters across the U.K.

i use to use a lot of nutrabaits trigga, and my fave nutra bait was called 3d a prawn smelling boillie that was very good but they stopped, i roll my own now but if i didnt id be happy to use trigga
