FIGHTS ON! Day 1 of Flying Ops for Exercise Pitch Black 2024 begins.

Day 1 of Flying Operations have begun for 20 nations and over 140 aircraft participating in Royal Australian Air Force Exercise Pitch Black 2024.

RAAF Flight Lieutenant Matthew a No.6 Squadron EA-18G Growler pilot details this weeks activities in the crawl stage of exercise where it will feature 1 v 1 aerial combat manurers, as we watch the first departures from RAAF Base Darwin.

IAF contingent includes Su-30MKI, C-17 heavy lift and Il-78 Tankers. Would have been great if the Tejas Mk1A was also sent, but G.E. is reeling from supply issues and unable to supply us the engines on time, so Tejas deliveres are delayed as well :(
