Blackberry picking

It's that time of the year folks... It's time to whack on the headphones, put on your best playlist, pump the volume up to 11, and get blackberry picking. 😎

Whether you've got your own blackberry plant(s) at home, or you're venturing out to find some established hedgerows, we've got some tips to get the most from your excursion! 🤠

First of all, only pick the berries that are fully black with a nice, glossy sheen, as those that still have some red to them aren't fully ripe yet. ⚠️

Next, you only want to be picking the berries that come away easily from the branch - again, if there's any significant resistance then this is an indication that they're not quite ripe. ❌

Finally, wear gloves and long sleeves! Unless you want to be sticking plasters all over your hands and arms, then some protection from the thorns is recommended! 🧤
