The word “Anglea” is another word for “angel shot” the bartenda will get confused and ask you “who’s angel-“ then they will realise what you meant and will take you to the back and ask you what was happening and will call the police. This can be used by anyone not just girls. Even guys can use it if they are being mistreated by a woman

for anyone confused:

its not just another version of the trend, it has a slightly different meaning but it is how people in the UK ask for help as 'angel shot' means nothing to us. you can ask for angela to do different things and it describes your situation for example 'can i get angela for drinks?' means that someone is threatening you.

however it isnt restricted in the uk but its tricky, yes you could ask for angela in america but people are less inclined to understand. let me explain, in the uk when training for a pub there is a whole unit for angela and how to recognise harassment so if you go to the uk and ask for an angel shot, they may not know what you mean. but in america rather than angela it is in fact the 'angel shot' which means that i could go to america and ask for angela but again, its less likely that they will know who she is xx

For everyone who is confused, in (most of) Europe Angle shot does t exist, but in clubs bar pubs etc you can ask for Angela and it basically means the same thing! :)
