Σύμφωνα με δημοσίευμα της ελληνικής ειδησεογραφικής ιστοσελίδας Πρώτο Θέμα, και με πληροφορίες από το τουρκικό τηλεοπτικό κανάλι Haberturk, o τέως υπαρχηγός του τουρκικού Πολεμικού Ναυτικού και κύριος εμπνευστής των ακραίων διεκδικήσεων της Άγκυρας στο Αιγαίο Πέλαγος και στην ανατολική Μεσόγειο, απόστρατος ναύαρχος Τσιχάτ Γιαϊτζί,
μιλώντας στην εκπομπή «Take Tek», είπε ότι "στα νότια της Κρήτης υπάρχουν τα μεγαλύτερα κοιτάσματα φυσικού αερίου του κόσμου που μπορούν να καλύψουν για 572 έτη τις ανάγκες της Τουρκίας."

You do NOT know what you are talking about ... and the Greeks and Turks also !
You keep talking about Kitasmata, Only Cyprus has discoveries and Egypt has oil and gas fields (Kitasmana)
South of Crete there are NO Kitasmata (or natural gas fields !)
There are only targets or prospects (stoxoi) whose potential is very very very good !

The areas (oikopeda) South of Crete have the greatest natural gas potential for discovery,
Some of the natural gas potential extends in areas claimed by Libya ... (Over the area agreed with Turkey ONLY !).
However, there is NO natural gas potential in the areas claimed by Turkey ... (Over the area agreed with Libya ONLY).
Since Turkey has not signed the UNCLOS, its agreement with Libya is not valid in fron of the Unuted Nations.
At 01:45 you show the areas offered by Greece, Those areas were published in the EU journal
and both Turkey and Libya did not say a word ... Kind of late now to say something `!
Notce that Turkey is offering the areas belonging to Greece to Libya (How can Turkey do that !). Starnge indeed !

If you are producing oil and gas at comercial quantities you have an OIL & GAS FIELD (or Kitasma in Greek) and this takes billions in investments !
For example: The Zohr gas field offshore Egypt is producing ! therfore it is a FIELD
If you have found oil and gas but it is not producng oil and gas at comercial quantities you have an UNDEVELOPED discovery
The Aphrodite 1 discovery offshore Cyprus is not producing (it is not even developed), therfore it is an undeveloped discovey.
If you have found a place on which you will drill an exploration well in the future you have a PROSPECT or a TARGET (Stoxos on Greek).
An Exploration well at 2000 meters of water depth drilled to 5, 000 meters will cost USD 200 MM.

Θέλουν τα κοίτασμα τα κατω απο την Κρήτη, κρίμα που εγω νόμιζα ότι θέλουν τάφο στην Λιβύη, ξάπλα στην καυτή άμμο με φόντο τις πετρελαιοπηγες, του, Χαφταρ.. Και στον βυθό της Κρήτης, δεν είναι άσχημα, δεν θα έχουμε ομως φωτογραφίες
