It goes to show that there was no real personal hatred between Richard and the Woodville faction and Richard helped Anthony with a legal matter only a month or so earlier than the fatal meeting at Stoney Stafford.

Thank you for doing this! You know already my opinion on him, he was a man of his time who is blamed for literally anything and everything!! I don't think he initially hated the Woodville family. He was in the North and also I don't think his relationship with Edward would have been quite so good! Maybe he did at the end, but I don't think it was hate, he probably looked at it as duty. My opinion. 😊

I wonder if history could have been different had Richard been given Edward V to raise rather than Anthony Woodville.

Why would Hastings advise Richard to come South quickly as the Queen's family was up to something, only to betray Richard in some treason plot. Richard's action to behead him seems bizarre. Something doesn't add up.

I'm not seeing this book unfortunately on kindle.

Regardless of what you think of Richard and his abilities and bravery on the battlefield, he still deposed his nephews, had them declared bastards and himself crowned, had their uncles and Hastings killed with no trial, had them imprisoned, and they mysteriously "disappeared" while in his custody. But I truly do think he was a loyal brother and family member and something drastically changed him, whether it was the death of his brother George, his son, his wife, or Edward, somewhere along the line he changed and became the villain.
