I feel your pain. I used to run a software company for 4 years or so, it led to burnout and a big money drain. I'm a developer by trade so I have the advantage of being able to build production ready features "for free". Right now I have a e-comm brand that has software components, as well as a SaaS (a CMS, like wordpress), but I'm very chill with that. I've learned a lot of lessons and I'm just treating the SaaS as a hobby project until / if I get some traction, and meanwhile I code away and make it better, If anything it's a great portfolio piece :D
