4 Trading Mistakes that Traders with Some Trading Experience (6 months to 12 months) Make 😳

1) Trading the right market - Why am I trading? I see many traders sticking to one market but using or tweaking a strategy that doesn't work that well with that market. If you are scalping you need a market that is conducive to scalping while if you're swing trading you need a market that is moving - perhaps not too aggressively but moving nonetheless... Using the right tools in the right conditions can change your performance overnight so this is something you need to pay attention to.
2) Putting things into perspective - I see this a lot - I see a lot of traders trying to put everything in and getting caught too much in the present moment. Well guys, the markets are going to be here tomorrow - you don't need to keep stressing yourself and pushing yourself too hard. You are already in a privileged position to be able to be trading compared to many other people...
3) Life balance - Again, this does improve your trading. You've got to have time to take a break, hobbies and family. That will not only improve your life but also your trading.
4) I think you need a system to be alerted of new ideas or trading opportunities. Some traders just wait for the opportunities to come to them but that is too slow and in anycase I believe that creates the danger of getting involved in stuff that you shouldn’t be involved in.

I relate to this so much. I used to beat myself up about missing good trading days with big moves then go in and overtrade when the moves have gone. I now realise there will always be more opportunities and to be more selective about my trades. I've made lots of silly mistakes but am now at the stage where I think I can turn profitable 10 months.

Choose the right product, that´s key. I only trade a few pairs and crude oil. After spending more than 2 years on demo acounts, i chose my nitch.
Crude oil makes people i know very unconfortable, but it`s my favourite product.
I also think that everyone needs tons of hours in front of the graphs to watch the dynamics of every price action.
I`m not a scalper, but i spent many hours watching 1 min bars on crude oil, and i still do, in order to find the fingerprints of buyer and seller activities that make me find the right spots to enter or exit some trades.
It, s like a wild animal, you have to spend some years in the mountains, just watching every detail, before you can claim to know it! :)

take today for example, traded a few sports markets but head wasn’t right due to distractions, got angry & frustrated so stopped for the day, what I’m saying is a lot of your ‘edge’ is YOU, if your mindset isn’t right it’s pointless getting involved in any market
