don’t go to stupid colleges that won’t grant you a job you wouldn’t have without a degree. Nobody has to pay for someone’s else bad decisions. And if college education was good for you, you should be able to pay it back.

If they cancel student debt, make sure to refund the students who responsibly paid back their debts during the pandemic as well. This is fair.

I had about $20k student loan debt at day 1 of the pandemic, I spent the next year busting my butt saving money and even moving in with family to eliminate renting expenses. By the start of pandemic year 2, I paid off all my debt and was debt free. If the government decides to cancel student debt, make sure people like me get our hard work rewarded by refunding the student loan debt we paid off.

If your college degree doesn't produce enough value for you to pay it off, it certainly doesn't have enough value for your neighbor to pay it off.

Failure to read, comprehend and follow the terms and conditions of your loan is not the responsibility of the government. It's yours. Cabbage head doesn't grasp the reality that the executive cannot unilaterally negate acts of Congress. Another stellar example of his excellence at failure.

These college educated folks should've known that the intrest revenue alone on all those loans makes the government billions a year and would never be cancelled.

Pay off your own debt. This shouldn’t even be up for discussion. Hell if you wanna give these people free money I’ll take a free 20k in my account too.

“I was really depending on this $10, 000” even though when I took out the loan, I knew what it entitled and that I would have a sound financial plan to help pay of this debt without crushing my net worth.

I personally stand to gain a lot of money from this, but frankly I really doubt the Federal government can afford this.
