Thank you for your bluntness. I hope it reaches the people (teenagers) who need to hear it.

I am 18 years old. And I have been doing the exact same things you mentioned except since I had so much bad acne since 15 years old, I have been using 0.1% adapelene cream on my face for 6 months religiously now and it really has changed the game and I couldn’t have been happier really. Earlier I used to avoid social events, birthday parties only because I was so much insecure of myself. So guys know what you need, use your resources. I cleanse, moisturize and use sunscreen in the am and the cream in the pm. That's it. I actually have good skin now. I get a pimple here and there sometimes, but It's still very much controllable.

Plenty of teens have hyperpigmentation. I sure did.

Yes! Thank you! Also, I think blue lizard sunscreen is the best!! My daughter actually gets photo contact dermatitis with regular sunscreens, so that's why we use Blue Lizard. Mahalo!!

For those with acne, get a moisturizer with salicylic acid as an active ingredient. If you can afford it, see an esthetician for extractions.

Thank you for this. I am forwarding this to my son and daughter. But can you also make a video about teen acne on what to use to resolve it particularly cystic acne.

I'm shocked this is all the engagement you have. Remember me when you have a million subs.

Exactly. If you don't have skin issues like acne, cleanse, moisturize and sunblock.

Yeah typically teens don’t need all that. I had acne from about 12-13 years old and it became so severe that it needed dermatologist intervention. I was prescribed retinoids and oral antibiotics as a teen and was recommended to exfoliate as well. I developed severe hyperpigmentation at that time so after I finally cleared most of my acne at 20 years old, I started using vitamin c. I only did all of this under the supervision of medical professionals, so if anyone’s not in my shoes then definitely you don’t need all that stuff 😅

Can you address Redheads and people who burn easily? Three of my kids are redheads and it doesn't matter what sunscreen I use, they still get burned through it. Are there any other recommendations?

I also incorporate a serum for redness, it’s the Iunik Tea Tree relief serum. Is that okay?
1. Cleanser
2. Rice water as toner
3. Serum
4. Moisturizer
5. Sunscreen

My parents bought me a nivea cleanser which contains salicylic acid and said to use twice daily which is so dangerous for your skin since it damages your skin if used to much
