DOJ warns Elon Musk's PAC over checks to voters

The DOJ sent a letter to Elon Musk's America PAC, warning that the $1 million checks he's giving to registered voters may violate federal law. According to the PAC's website, Musk is randomly selecting registered voters in seven major battleground states who sign a petition supporting the first and second amendments.

The money is for signing a petition and you have to be a registered voter to qualify. That is not illegal. He is not offering money to vote.
