Rusty getting a non-gambling sponsorship, happy for you. The thing you said about sports gambling gave me more respect for a guy I already respect for his honesty

Honestly the actor you had playing your evil twin should win a Grammy.

I think a big fact about last playoffs that people don’t talk about is that Jamal Murray sucked ass. If he stays injured through the next few years, it’s over for Denver. I say this as a Nuggets fan. You cannot rely on Jokić and AG to beat the monsters in the West.

1:15 We got Rusty Buckets’s treacherous lil twin before GTA 6

They are on the same position as the Buck 3 years ago.

Lost 1 VITAL PIECE that looks not a lot at first(Tucker and Brown), but the following off season acquisitions didn't patch the hole left behind until it turn into a big mess.

Why do the teams that least deserve it seem to get screwed the hardest? The Nuggets were one of the few teams to build a championship roster the “right” way, yet they’re being punished for it.

They absolutely need Braun, Watson and Strawther (or some other unlikely names) to be legit rotation pieces giving 15-25 productive minutes or the Nuggets are going to slide out of true contention. Not to even bring up Murray's health.

I did say it, losing Bruce Brown was going to affect them more than people thought. Now they lost their most underrated player KCP.

Julian Defense is ok. Honestly coming in and reading the reports i though he would be a non factor invisible hallway defender, but he turn out to be a hard worker on defense. He doesn't allow to get push around even against stronger player, he fight screens, he put his chest on post up and drives to the rim. He got clearly limitation on his foot speed, lateral movement, athletic trays, but he make up with his insane length. He's can contest shots well with his 6'7 frame and got solid reactions to disrupt passes and make drives uncomfortable with hands. He goes for rebounds and help out on the defensive board.

He needs more discipline and defensive knowledge. He set up his defensive stance wrong some times, use his hands hips and hands too much on drives. He needs to be a smarter defender and be at the right places at the right time instead of trying to contest with just his hands. He doesn't get lost on rotation which is good and always help. I do love that he gives tough fouls. He doesn't allow easy baskets and i like that.

Kinda weird because if Jamal played relatively not shit they would've won the Wolves series either way. Jamal being good or bad is still 10x more important than KCP or Bruce Brown

KCP was better in the 2023 Finals than MPJ was

Evil Rusty Buckets didn't hack Normal Rusty Buckets. But he did turn off his mic before the original recording!

Denver will be fine if Murray gets his level up. But he probably will not.

They did it to themselves. They couldn’t have kept Bruce Brown, that wasn’t on them. But KCP is. If they didn’t randomly give Zeke Nnaji a bunch of $ that would’ve helped, or even gotten MPJr to take a few mill less a year instead of the last year having the silly partial guarantee that wouldn’t have rly helped them. If he was so bad that the $ didn’t guarantee and you had to waive him, you were F’d regardless.

The ridiculous thing is, they STILL could’ve kept KCP and stayed below the 2nd apron. Obviously no Dario, which btw I think is a bad usage of their TMLE, and they would’ve ended up in the 2A eventually (prolly 25-26) but they could’ve kept him and faded it for 24-25. If KCP opted in to his PO, they could’ve given him a 140% raise then 8% raises. KCP picking up his PO, you’re good for this year, you can stay under even if took a cpl other small different moves.

He had 15, 440, 185 PO. He got 3/66 from ORL. I believe he would’ve taken less AAV to stay, especially if it was more actual $. So 15, 440, 185 * 1.4 = 21, 616, 259.
24-25 15, 440, 185
25-26 21, 616, 259
26-27 23, 345, 560
27-28 25, 074, 860

That’s 4/85.477M or so. Less than 22/y, but barely, and almost 20M more in gtd $. He takes this offer every single time. He likely would’ve taken a little less. Like 4/80 or something like that. I think he basically 100% takes 4/80, but if they at least had these talks with him? They would’ve figured it out. Maybe 4/80 with a trade kicker, maybe he prefers the 3/60.4M with a player option. Or 4/81 and he gets two big chunks of his salary before the season starts like how Ben Simmons deal was.

This was on DEN. They either cheaped out, (likely, we’ve seen the owner do it a ton before) or the GM is so confident in the guys he drafted he wanted to take the KCP club out of the bag if you will. Plus being able to use TMLE, get Russ, etc. Maybe some of both. But they could’ve kept him, period. I see way too many DEN fans complaining saying they couldn’t keep him bc of the new CBA etc. It’s objectively false, AND THEY EVEN COULDVE DODGED THE 2A THIS YEAR WTF!

Nowadays I feel like if a team can win one ring in 10 years span, it is very successful.

Denver was the only team to beat Boston 2-0 last year. They had a better record than the year before, EVEN WITH Jamal Murray missing 20+ games during the regular season. Murray was injured the whole Minnesota series, and they STILL went to game 7 and were up 20 in the 3rd quarter before running out of gas. That's on Malone for running the starters into the ground and not trusting the bench players. The game was still within reach for Denver until the last 3 minutes. Had they won that game, they would've rolled Dallas and likely beaten Boston in the finals. And even with losing KCP this off season, they've arguably improved since last year overall. Braun will fill in just fine for KCP, Westbrook is basically a Bruce Brown replacement (I don't care that he can't shoot, Aaron Gordon can't shoot either and he's plenty effective), Dario Saric is a huge bench piece, and the other young guys (Strawther and Pwat) will only be better. Oh and they still have the best player in the league, an all-time great in his prime. I really don't understand these takes about Denver getting worse lol.
