ASEAN's Richest Countries by GDP per capita (1960-2024)

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is a regional intergovernmental organization comprising ten countries in Southeast Asia, which promotes intergovernmental cooperation and facilitates economic, political, security, military, educational, and sociocultural integration among its members and other countries in Asia.

Here is the video timeline of ASEAN's richest countries ranked by each country's GDP per capita from 1960 up to present including projection to the year 2024.

GDP per capita is a measure of a country's economic output that accounts for its number of people. It divides the country's gross domestic product by its total population. That makes it a good measurement of a country's standard of living. It tells you how prosperous a country feels to each of its citizens.

Note: Timor Leste is a non-member state of ASEAN but since it's also part of Southeast Asia, I have included it in the video.
