Ten years ago, it looked like it all might have been well and truly over for them as pals, after Katie, 44, pulled out of being bridesmaid to Kerry, 42, for her doomed wedding to George Kay.
However, the former glamour model didn’t feel happy with the role and abruptly made the decision to bail as bridesmaid on the morning of Kerry’s wedding, in a nightmare turn of events.
Kerry recalled the fiasco in her new book Whole Again – Love, Life and Me: My Story, as she explained: "The morning wasn’t without its issues. Katie Price was supposed to be a bridesmaid but she pulled out as I was getting ready.
"She still came to the wedding; she just wasn’t part of the bridal party.
"I can’t remember now what the issue was, something about her dress not being right I think.
"She’d just had her daughter Bunny though, and that was probably part of the reason.”
Kerry shared her angry reaction with Katie as she continued: "I wasn’t best pleased. I was probably a bit of a bridezilla anyway, so I felt pretty p***ed off, but Danielle sat me down and gave me the pep talk I needed."
The two ladies share much in common, having had several marriages and been pregnant at the same time, with their children becoming friends.
Despite their public rifts over the years, Kerry has come to the defence of Katie on multiple occasions, as she’s told critics to “lay off” off the star.
She previously told The Mirror: “Everyone’s quick to jump on the bandwagon and notice all her faults. All I want to say to everyone is ‘lay off her’. Why not pull each other up?
“No one is actually going ‘what’s the underlying problem of why she’s got to where she is at the minute?’”
