I got BANNED...

Yes, myself and many others were banned for one year from sending skins or selling skins on the market. I joined a CS2 lobby that was modified, knowing full well that it was modified. For those of you worried about the content, don't worry, it's not going anywhere.

As the person who found the exploit, i would like to clarify some things from this video:
1:58 - yes you can modify game files by injecting, but I didn't do that, there is other ways to make the lobbies without it.
8:50 - Red medal farmers were in csgo, this "exploit" is only a thing in cs2 because they left game files for that gamemode, which is now bugged. Red medal farmers in csgo mainly used fsm while injected with cheats on multiple accounts just shooting each other 24/7. Another method was using deathmatch where 1 account would stand still knifing and bot accounts would run into him
9:35 - Valve has never banned for making new accounts (ban evasion), your items are still stuck on main for 1y and that's the only thing they care about.

Valve didnt want to ban people that joined by accident. They wanted to ban people that very clearly were purposefully abusing it. Thats why they set limits to time on said servers and stars glitched.

tbh it makes sense that there is stars threshold for getting banned bc some ppl might see their friends playing in those servers and join them without knowing they are glitched servers and play match or two before realizing there is something wrong with these servers

i got 200 stars with 5 passes with "normal" gaming in deatchmatch and competetive. i think i got them in 2 days.
But it's good that you see that it's somehow justified.
I don't know whether the duration is appropriate.

VALVE NEEDS TO FIX THE 7 DAY TRADE BAN FOR SKINS. I don't mind it on new skins but if you apply a sticker or charm or remove a charm the gun you owned for a year is now considered new and can't be sold or traded for 7 days. That's BS

Id say you guys can be incredibly lucky with that kind of ban. Not that I wouldve want you to get a full ban or anything, the opposite is the case, but Im surprised that Valve is so kind about it
