Butter blitzer, it’s a 2x2 butter square that appears on the board for two rounds at a random location designated by two dice rolls. The butter counts as both teams so it’s easier to land a win. The trick is it’s timed so after two rounds the butter gets removed (melts, for theme) if no one wins and the game continues.

ooo ooo!!!! The last topping should be a cherry!! It'd be cherry bomb that clears a 3 by 3 portion of the board. It'd be a good way to avoid a draw or keep the game going a little longer. You may have to redesign the board to make removing the peices a bit easier tho.

You can use them to 'capture' territory, and whoever has the most when the board fills up without a connect 4 winner, wins.

Gameplay wise, a block and a wild are great. Next a swap, delete, or jump would be cool.
Swap the tile to your own (wold might already do this)
Delete an opponents line. (Could be hard to implement unless you did a line of whipped cream that "resets" those spaces or block things).
Jump over an oponents line (I think this would be the most interesting. Butter seems like the way to go, but I think I would only have 1 in the game and either player could use it once it's placed.
