Rest in peace Ao Shin.Riot is changing Ao Shin to Aurelion Sol (Aurelion Sol is heavily inspired by Ao Shin, and i hope he is even better than original Ao Shin concept was).Also he is coming in 2016 and it could even be the next champion.

A dragon champ is really hard to make so I wasn't expect it to be released it early...a dragon is really long and huge most running animation is really hard to make since he have to lean his body...and his long body also can be easily hit with abilities since he have so much place to hit...even if riot decides to make his hit box smaller it still won't work since the body of the champion is long and it would confuse opponents

They're not replacing him, this new dragon will be out in the first half of the year, and Ao Shin will come later, they didn't say they were replacing him, only that a new one is coming before him.

I think they ment that ao shin will be some other time while we will have different dragon champ. So Aureliol Sol is not ao shin and not even his version, but rather a complete new champ, they are still working on him.

The issue with what RIOT did with Ao Shin is that they released information about Ao Shin way too early in his champion design / creation causing hype, but at the same time an incomplete shell of what is to be or what was supposed to be.
