Come on guys, drying a car by hand is old school. After a good wash and rinse I use a blower to 90% dry the car...and touch up the last bits with two small towels or micro fibers.
I open the bonnet, decklid and all the doors and blow out all the water there too.
With a blower I never have to touch the wheels again, and I blow out water from underneath moldings that you could never do by hand... as well as all those small areas in many grills.

For decades I dried the cars with towels, ugh!

And it's nice that you use two buckets, one to rinse the mitt.

But even more efficient is I keep the hose in one hand and the mitt in another, constantly flushing the mitt.
I rinse the mitt for a couple of seconds before dipping back into the Soapy bucket.
Nothing wrong with two buckets but I don't need to bother with the second one.
