Alcohol was a personal struggle and coping mechanism for me. Caused a lot of irreversible destruction and mayhem in my life and by the grace of God, was delivered from it last March. Best decision I’ve ever made and I couldn’t have done it without the Lord. I’m so much happier, less stressed and have never felt better.

Love this! Years ago I was drinking and smoking weed all the time. I’ve completely stopped the weed but not the alcohol. Reason being because once I stopped drinking so much I realized it wasn’t that hard and I enjoyed how I felt without it. Now it’s super rare. I know some people go 100% sober, which is great, but this way works for me.

Been refraining from alcohol and desserts for last 30 days cuz moderation wasn’t conducive to discipline lol but I target my macros and follow JT’s slow burn cardio advice (vs jogging) and I’m down 5lbs. today. Ain’t much, but I have a better sense of navigation for this season. Thanks for this Proverb!

I’ve been sober for 15 months thanks for Celebrate Recovery 🙌🏻 I didn’t realize I was sinning until I got sober and watched Mike Wingers sermon on what the Bible says about alcohol. Drinking wasn’t the sin… it was the drunkenness. I’m so happy to be free of alcohol and life is so much better without it!

Most people that will defame someone for a drink or a thought are walking around 300 pounds themselves. Sin is sin. Treating the body like an amusement park can mean many different things even overeating.

Absolutely in the season of abstinence… also been on a path of weight loss and reducing body fat as well as abstaining from alcohol, sports, and gaming as much as possible. All things permitted, not all things beneficial! Love it brother.

Abstinence without seeking the Holy Spirit will ultimately fail because you are self relying. Trust in the Lord, pray in moments of weakness, “Lord take this evil thought away”, hide His Word in your heart, use the scripture like Jesus did in the desert while being tempted by the devil.

I’ve struggled with pornography, video game addiction, and anger issues… the Lord has done an incredible work in me, what I shared above have been some of my tactics.

That was very well said!!great message I agree, I been alternative day intermittent fasting just because I needed to pull back from food because that’s my weakness !! I have to be abstinence from allot of things because I have an all or nothing addictive personality . It is about learning yourself which takes courage and gut retching honesty.
