1955 Land Rover Series One - Will it start?

In this episode, we try to breathe some life into a beautiful old Land Rover Series One from 1955. It hasn’t turned a wheel in anger since the mid-1960’s and when it was picked up prior to rebuilding, it was a complete rotten shell. There’s been plenty of money and love thrown at this old wagon over the years and its condition is a testament to the time and effort put into its restoration. With it being old enough to qualify to be road tax and MOT exempt, all it needs is insurance and its on the road.

In order to get this running, the engine has been completely rebuilt, along with the gearbox and transfer box, so all it needs now is fuel and the timing setting right, which in the days of ECUs, fuel injection and tuning chips, is a bit of a dark art these days. We’ve got a couple of period correct manuals etc and with the help of Tony the carburettor whisperer and a little tuning by ear, she lives once again and runs as sweet as the day it rolled off the production line.

Try to add few drops of a mobil oil in 4 spark plug hole. It helps to form the carbon inside.
Little carbon is good for quick fire

Regular entrada de aire hasta encontrar punto optimo y bajar aceleracion hasta 500 o 600rpm es un relog de suave

Where are the remains of the starter? Whit that overwork? An stroboscopic light for sinc? Not here at uk its an strange element. Best regards. Juan

Ese funciona con mezclas de kerosen, alcohol diesel gasolina de avion y funciona perfecto solo con un poco menos de fuerza excepto con gasolina de avion sus chisperos quedan blancos de limpios la loza
