I escaped from California to Peru in 2009. I got Peruvian citizenship in 2013. The list of alternatives to USA is more than just a few countries, in my opinion.

Many of us are trapped here due to not having at least $500, 000. That is unrealistic for so many of us. I've worked my whole adult life in jobs for the most part I hated. Not all, but most. I want to leave America before the last sh!@#%!T hits the fan but due to lack of money, I cannot. If a miracle happens in my life, I will leave asap. I know how to "bug out" in less than 3 hours.

Wife and I took our first trip outside the US in June. Went to UK, was not impressed at all. We live on a large property in rural and I work in IT, we're close to retirement. I enjoy watching these channels but I am not ready to move yet. I enjoy watching Andrew on the Nomad Capitalist. I prefer nature than to busy cities, just a preference.

Your guest has some good points. We Americans have way too many rules and regulations and putting everyone on sanctions list. What you have is a hostile environment and policies, which are backfiring.

I get what they are selling. This strategy may make sense to someone born in a first-world country with a hard currency. Yet I am almost convinced that for most average citizens, the USA would be their choice. Yes, it is not perfect, but the number of opportunities and entrepreneurship mindset of this country do not compare to anywhere else. You can achieve so much in so little time.
