The Owners is a 2020 horror thriller film adapted from the graphic novel Une nuit de pleine lune by Hermann and Yves H. Directed by debut director Julius Berg, with a screenplay by Mathieu Gompel and Julius Berg in collaboration with Geoff Cox, it stars Maisie Williams, Sylvester McCoy, Rita Tushingham, Jake Curran, Ian Kenny and Andrew Ellis.

The Owners was released in the United States on September 4, 2020, by RLJE Films.

Rita Tushingham was a great actress in the 60s: A Taste of Honey (1961), Doctor Zhivago (1965), and the phenomenally underrated The Trap (1966) which is a must-see for Oliver Reed alone. It's really no suprise she delivers in this new movie.

Also Maisie Williams as an actress is pretty hit and miss for me everytime I watch her in something.

I wanted to like this film. It started out ok and had some good parts to it, but I couldn't take the interactions between Maisie and the "owners" seriously. It was just unbelievable that those 2 characters could pose a threat as they looked so old and feeble. I didn't buy them being physical with her for a second. Plus, I felt the ending was really bad. I'm glad others are able to enjoy it.

"If I die before I wake" is a great home invasion film, I'm not sure if alot of people have seen.

I chose home invasion for my short story, it was the first book I wrote that got good reviews I even sold a couple copies in the UK. I love home invasion stories so I'll check this one out as soon as I can.

It's basicall a UK rip off of Don't Breath, but nowhere near as good. The only saving graces are Sylvester McCoy and Rita Cushingham. Even the 'twist' of an ending is taken straight frrom Don't Breath.
