It's the second part of our ultimate smart phone versus! In this video we're pitting six of the best smartphones against each other in terms of speed to see which is the fastest.

Rendering video, exporting edited photos, loading levels, we've scrapped Wi-Fi and GPS apps in favour of apps that use pure power.

It's iPhone 7 vs Google Pixel vs Samsung S7 vs HTC 10 vs Sony Xperia XZ vs LG G5

There are 8 different apps to take on...

1. FLAC music player - the phone must load a FLAC file then play and pause the track
2. Boot up Asphalt 8
3. Boot up Fruit Ninja
4. Boot up N.O.V.A 3 then load the first level
5. Export a pre-made project in Adobe Premiere Clip - @1080p and with several filters
6. Export a photo in Snapseed with pre-made filters
7. Open up a heavily layered 3D project in 3DC.io
8. Take a photo with the camera

- Each phone has to complete two laps and reload games that haven't held their save.
- Each phone is tested after being reset and all background apps have been removed
- Wi-Fi and other connectivity options turned off

Please do let us know what you think of our new intensive speed test, we'll look into all suggestions and potential apps that you send our way.

Everybody does speed tests phone buff style nowadays. He should've patented it.

at this point, i think we all can agree already that iPhone 7 will always win in every speed test. it totally obliterates any smartphones in this department.

The irony is that most iPhone users only use it for social networks and light idiot games. That's called living by status, and Apple knows that.

I can't be the only person who ignored the iPhone 7 at the very beginning

The One Plus 3T should be faster than the Pixel and even closer to the iPhone 7 although the iPhone 7 is gonna win by a good margin.

I don't care of any speedtest result and call me whatever you like. WHEN the iphone gets a 2K resolution display I"m going to give all my respect to apple, until then...

Didn't expect such performance by half year old Samsung

terms of design/ build quailty, I would go for the htc 10 or the sony/samsung anyday

You should have used Mate 9 and 3T instead of HTC 10, Xperia XZ and G5, they are obviously slower because they have older SoCs and, even more important, older internal memories, respectively eMMC5 and UFS 1.0.

good video. I'm a pixel xl user myself. what I see comes down to app makers making their apps for Apple then putting them to Android.

there is a huge difference here: Metal for iOS has been around for 3 years while Vulkan just made its debut with Android 7, so games are 50% or more optimized for the iPhone. you have to wait for developers to update their games.

All those Android smartphone are WAY faster than the iPhone. The problem is, that the iPhone apps are WAY better optimized than the Android counter part. It's a Dev problem not a Hardware one...and that's what this guy FAILS to tell you.

I'd like to see pixel vs iPhone loading the native apple vs Google apps, dialer, messenger, calculator etc
